Bookworm Solver
Using OCR to solve the classic PC game Bookworm
I'm a huge fan of word games, and when I was a student I spent far too much time playing Bookworm Deluxe (2003).

Also during Covid, as I was finishing my senior year, students banded together to make a social platform, based on the style of CLub Penguin, called Club Stanford. I used OCR at that time to break the in-game economy, and realized that it could be a powerful tool for automating my original favorite game. This project uses OpenCV to read the 53 letter tiles on a screen like below, and maps them to a graph, which we solve, accounting for special tiles (like burning tiles).
